Kenneth Eugene Orth, 87, of Caledonia

Kenneth Eugene Orth, age 87 of Caledonia passed away Friday evening September 27th, in Marion General Hospital.

He was born December 17th, 1925 in Belle Center, OH as the son of Robert D. & Irene E. (Rodgers) Orth.

He was a 1944 graduate of Mt. Victory High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the European Theater during World War II.

Kenneth was always in love with farming. He worked as a store manager for Central Tractor Supply in Lancaster Pa, and Marion, OH. He also worked for Lemke Implement, AG Chemical and Depot Sales. He was never happier than when he was just mowing the yard.

On December 20th, 1946 he married the former Mary E. Harder. She survives him at home.

He is also survived by his children Jacquelyn (Barry) Longenecker of Lancaster, PA, Nancy Swank of Leola, PA, Elizabeth Hunt of Caledonia and Sarah Hunt of Galion. There are seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren .

He also leaves behind his siblings; Nelson, Harold, Guy and Dean Orth, Maxine (Grant) Tickner and Dorothy Johnston. He was preceded in death by his sons Jerry and Ronald and his brother Morris.

Graveside Services will be conducted by United States Army on Wednesday October 2nd, 2013 in Austinburg Center Cemetery, Austinburg, Ohio at 1:30 P. M. Friends may at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia on Tuesday from 6 – 9.
