David A. Sisson age 65 of Marion passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at Marion Manor Nursing home.
Born November 3, 1947 in Marion to the late Virgil H. and Edith P. (Evans) Sisson.
David retired from Quaker Oats. He was a member of Family Life Church, a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
David is survived by his wife Linda Sisson, two daughters Kathy Sisson and Michelle Lawson both of Marion, eight grandchildren Brooke Fown Bambi Fown, Lindsay Fown, Tiffany Cooper, Ambra Cooper, David Cooper, David Moler, Kasey Powell, three brothers Carl Sisson, Paul Sisson, Ron Sisson, and one sister Mary Forest.
He preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Robert Sisson, John Sisson, Wayne Sisson, Jim Sisson, and one sister Garnetta Wilson.
The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery with the Marion County United Veterans conducting military honors.
