James E. Mason Sr., age 82, of Marion, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Heartland of Marion.
James was born on February 19, 1931 in Marion, OH to the late Adam and Sylvia (Wooley) Mason.
James married Rebecca Ann Miller on May 29, 1954; she preceded him in death on July 12, 2005.
James retired from Karguard Muffler, and was a member of The VFW 3313, American Legion 584, The Moose 889, and TOPS OH 675. James was an avid Bingo Player.
James is survived by children, James E. (Beth) Mason Jr. of Marion, Vickie (Allen) Boggs of Marion, Debbie (Steve) Aldridge, of Marion and Dianna (Brian) Williams of Swayzee, Indiana, brother Larry Reisinger of Seattle, Washington; sister, Dorothy Walke of Marion, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by grandchild Jacqulyn Mason and sisters, Patty DeAmico, Ota Blair and Helen Weaver.
Friends may call from 4 until 8PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors on Monday, October 7, 2013 and from 10 until 11AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Brian Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
