Kathy S. Mangus, age 58 of Marion and formerly of Powell passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at St. Ann’s Hospital following a two month illness.
She was born on June 15, 1955 in Powell to the late Leo and Kathleen (Buckler) Adkins. Kathy had worked as a machine operator for Delo Screw and Harding Machine, in addition to being a dog kennel assistant.
With a passion for all animals, she cared for them throughout her life. She rescued animals who were abused or who weren’t able to help themselves. Kathy also enjoyed an ornery streak. Happiest at home, surrounded by her beloved pets, she will be remembered for her warm heart and caring ways.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years Jim Mangus, son Dustin (Angela) Congrove of Cardington, and daughter Leona Congrove, 6 grandchildren: Harley, Dana, Max, Christopher, Cody, and Courtney, as well as numerous animals, which she considered friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Barb Williams.
Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware.
