Jean Viola Ballinger, age 84, of Seaton Sq., Marion, passed away in the Marion General Hospital on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 11:29 p.m.
She was born in Marion on December 5, 1925 to the late William and Evelyn (Fleming) Huntsman.
Jean married her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Ballinger in Marion on January 24, 1943 and they have enjoyed 67 years of marriage.
She was a kind and loving person whom loved everyone unconditionally. Before retiring in 1992, she was employed for 38 years with the Fulfillment Corp. of America.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by her husband; Bob, 4 sons; Robert (Joyce) Ballinger, Thomas (Debby) Ballinger, William (Cathy) Ballinger, and Danny Ballinger all of Marion, 4 daughters; Nancy (Chris) Stewart of Marion, Linda Ferguson of Prospect,Oh., Deborah Ball of Marysville, Oh., and Teresa Phillips of Marion, 1 sister; Rheda Keil of Mt. Gilead, Oh., 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great granddaughter. Jean was preceded in death by a daughter; Barbara Ballinger, whom was William Ballinger's twin sister , 3 grandchildren, and a sister; Betty Wilson.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Rev. Brett Cornelius will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.
