Daniel Earl Hensley age 95 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday November 2, 2013 at the Marion Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on March 8, 1918 in Hardy, Ky. to the late Kelly and Mona (McGlothin) Hensley.
On March 8, 1939 in Canada, Ky. he married Nadene McCoy and she preceded him in death on December 21, 1989.
Daniel was retired as the owner and operator of Marion Auto Body for sixty some years.
He was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #70, and the Grand Council Royal & Select Masons of Ohio, Marion Council #22. Daniel loved to cook and bake, he loved collecting coins, and watching WWF Wrestling, but most of all he truly loved and cared deeply about his family. They were number one to him.
Daniel is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann (Lynn) Schwartz of New Bloomington, Ohio, four grandchildren; RieAnn (Corey) Lukkarila, Riena (John) Akers, Dannie (Robin) Schuler, David Schuler, six great-grandchildren; Zachary, Hayden, Kaiden, Carly, Seth, Ava, and two great-great-grandchildren; Alexander and Zoey. Also surviving are son-in-law, Dave Schuler, and a long time and very dear friend, Billie Jo Klaiber, who took loving care of Dan.
Besides his parents and his wife, Daniel was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Earlene Schuler and a sister, Helen Elizabeth Scott Gilbert.
Funeral Services for Daniel will be on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Barkley Slone. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M.
