Gordon R. Jaggers Sr., age 75 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1938 in Hart County, Ky. to the late Arvey Jaggers and Beatrice (Cylmer) Osborn.
On December 7, 2001 he married Portia (Zornes) Jaggers.
Gordon was employed at the former Tecumseh Products and was in the Carpenters Union for 30 plus years. Besides his family his other loves were his dogs and playing in his band Highway 40.
He is survived by his wife Portia Jaggers of Marion, his mother-in-law, Faye Kelly of Marion, two sons, Gordon R. (Jaimie) Jaggers Jr. of Marion, Joseph (Robin) Jaggers of Circleville, eight daughters, Brenda Cooper of Marion, Elizabeth Malone of Marion, Elaine Jaggers of Columbus, Barbie (Jason) Mills of Marion, A.J. (Tony) Kitchen of Ca., Cher (Robert) Reynosa of Ca., Sandy (Herb) Christian of Marion, Jackie (Neal) Jarrell of Marion, 27 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter,numerous nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Robin Stapelton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny R. Jaggers, a grandson, Jonathon Olvera, 3 brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services for Gordon will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 @ 1PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, November 11, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
