C. Dean Hartley age 77 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday November 14, 2013 at Highbanks Care Center in Worthington, Ohio.
He was born March 22, 1936 in Marion, Ohio to the late Charles S. and Ella M. (Priddy) Hartley.
Dean was the owner of Dean’s Towing and Shell Service Station in Marion for over thirty-five years. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by a daughter and two sons; Teri Staral of Gahanna, Ohio, Jerry (Myra) Hartley of Indiana, and Larry Hartley of Cardington, Ohio. Also, nine grandchildren survive; Amber Miller, Brandon Hartley, Rachel Emans, Deana Leach, Trey Ratterman, Julie Sears, Jolene Dodge, Jonathan Hartley, and Makenzie Gruber. Eight Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive as well.
Besides his parents, Dean was preceded in death by wife Carol Robinson Hartley, longtime companion, Janet L. Hull, and three sisters, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dwight Hord. Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday November 19, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M.
