Phyllis Mae Tillis, age 87, of Marion, passed away on Saturday evening, November 30, 2013 at the Presidential Center of Marion.
Phyllis was born on September 25, 1926 in Marion, the daughter of the late Paul Eugene and Josephine Yager (Bryan) Garver. She was a 1944 graduate of Harding High School.
On July 2, 1949, Phyllis was united in marriage to Howard Keith Tillis, he preceded her in death on February 10, 1987.
Phyllis enjoyed the outdoors. She played golf and especially enjoyed mowing the yard on her riding lawn mower. She will be remembered by her family for the crafts that she often made and gave away as cherished gifts.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her sister Marlene Knapp of Galion; her nieces: Pamela (Steve) Strohm of New Washington, OH and Terrie (Mark) Lambert of Marion; nephew: Jeffrey Paul (Deb) Knapp of Galion; 6 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great niece and nephew.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11AM at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
