Herman Daniel Pennington age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
He was born January 3, 1926 in Ironton, Ohio to the late James and Edna Pennington.
On July 7, 1946 he married Grace E. (Webb).
Herman was a U.S. Army Veteran, longtime resident of Marion where he was formerly employed at Drypers as a Security Guard, American Malable for 35 years and Community Market for 10 years, and was a longtime member of Euclid Avenue Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Pennington of Marion, Oh., his children, Joyce Baker of Marion, Oh., Larry (Patty) Pennington of Riverview, Fl., Robert Pennington of Upper Sandusky, Oh., 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Danny Pennington, his brother, Earl Pennington, a granddaughter and a great grandson.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 2 – 5 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Euclid Avenue Mission in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
