Verna Pauline McBride, 91 of Richwood

Verna Pauline McBrideVerna Pauline McBride, 91 of Richwood, died Thursday evening, December 19, 2013 at her home at Richwood Greene, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 12, 1922 in Kenton to the late Cary and Juanita (Howard) Crawford.

On June 29, 1941 she married Dale McBride in Ada and he died March 27, 1989.  She was also preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, never without her sense of humor.  Verna loved watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers.

She is survived by five daughters, Nancy (Gary) Bradshaw, Dayton; Jani (Virg) Rankin, Richwood; Patty (Ralph) Russell, Prospect; Bonnie Kennedy, Cusseta, Georgia; Carol Lipham, Oxford, Alabama; a son, Dale (Elaine) McBride, Oregon, Ohio; Grandchildren, Toni (Dana) Harrah, Timothy McCleese, David (Bethany) Rankin, Matthew (Amy) Rankin, Mike (Kara) Russell, Julie (Bryon) Bigford, Jennifer (Ty) Williams, Andy (Laura) Russell, Karen Murdock, Tami Murdock, Rodney Kennedy, Chad Kennedy, Cary Kennedy, Brandon Lipham, Kristen Lipham, Joe McBride, John McBride, Toby McBride, Richard Solomon, Dan Solomon; sisters-in-law Ruth Bidwell, Betty Crawford, Evelyn Crawford; a brother-in-law Robert King; special friend, Maggie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Matthew Craig officiating.  Burial will follow in Dunkirk Cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
