Karen A. Olds age 58 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday December 26, 2013 at her residence.
She was born February 19, 1955 in Marion to the late Theodore and Flora (Smith) Kohler.
On February 23, 2007 she married Ronald Olds, Jr. and he survives.
Karen worked as a clerk at National Cash Advance and also at one time she worked at Walmart and at Kable Fulfillment until it’s closing. She was a 1973 graduate of Marion Harding High School.
Karen loved her family dearly and was very involved in their lives. Her grandchildren were her life.
Besides her husband Ron, she leaves behind a daughter, two sons and a step-son; Heidi (Brian) Sears, Kevin Holland (Shauna Tucker), Shawn (Gwen) Holland, and Ronald Olds, III, all of Marion, Ohio. Six grandchildren survive; Megan Betz, Mikala Betz, Andrew Holland, Killian Holland, Jameson Holland, and Abby Sears. Karen is also survived by one sister and three brothers; Diane Bauer, Theodore, Keith, and James Kohler all of Marion, Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews survive as well.
Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Christian and a brother, Richard Kohler.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Chris Braye. A graveside and burial will take place on Thursday January 2, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion, Ohio. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Monday December 30, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M.
