Rev. Edwin K. Vance age 89 of Marion, Ohio, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 27, 2013.
Residing at his daughters home, he was surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Edwin, son of the late Clifford and Effie (Everly) Vance was married to Margaret (Peggy Buckingham) for 72 years and she survives. Together they raised three children; Bonnie (Ron) Settlemire of Findlay, Ohio, Becki Seckel of Marion, Ohio, and a son Phillip who he now joins in Heaven. They were blessed with eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was a minister of the United Methodist Church for 33 years and continued to be a witness for his Lord until he was called home.
Funeral Services for Rev. Vance will be on Friday January 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oakland United Methodist Church in Marion, Ohio on Bellefontaine Ave. Officiating the service will be Rev. Robert Baer. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Oakland United Methodist Church on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. and also at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M.
