Nellie B. Ratliff age 69 of Marion, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born May 23, 1944 in Paintsville, Ky., to Jack and Eula (Horne) McCarty.
On September 23, 1958 in Paintsville, Ky., she married Kenneth Ratliff .
Nellie was a longtime resident of Marion, Ohio where she was employed at the Marion Manor and Med Center Hospital as a nurses aid for several years.
She is survived by her mother, Eula Sammons of Meally, Ky., two daughters, Kimberly Ratliff (Kelvin) Cox of Bucyrus, Oh., Brenda Ratliff of Marion, Oh., four grandsons, Brandon Michael Cox of Marion, Benjamen Franklin Cox of Marion, Lee Cox of Galion, Jonathan Cox of Galion, two granddaughters, Molly Ann Pheasant of Marion, Monica Kay Pheasant of Marion, one great grandson, Kameron Kenneth Cox of Marion, two great granddaughters, Riley Bea Forrider of Marion, Lilly Jo Cox of Marion, her sister, Jackie (Everett) Crum of Williamsport, Ky., and her brother, John (Barb) McCarty of Meally, Ky.
Nellie was preceded in death by her father, Jack McCarty, her husband, Kenneth Ratliff, her daughter, Connie Ratliff, her brother, Jerry McCarty and her step father, Cecil Sammons.
Visitation for Nellie will be Monday, January 13, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St. Marion, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Horne officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
