Sylvia I. Tiller age 79 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Friday January 10, 2014 at the Marion General Hospital.
She was born January 24, 1934 in Harvyton, Ky., to the late Frank and Evelyn (Russell) Rose.
On December 24, 1951 she married Joseph H. Tiller and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2007.
Sylvia was retired as a Soft Ware Manager with Wal-Mart. She was an avid bowler and bowled up to the age of 78. She loved to travel and did a lot of that with her husband. She also loved the outdoors and loved fishing. The family said she was a great cook and she dearly loved all of her family.
Sylvia leaves behind a daughter, Deborah I. (Shawn) Thorpe of Marion, Ohio, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Adam Thorpe, Jennifer Thorpe, Taris and Tayla Wright, and Andrea Jackson. Also several nieces and nephews survive.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Joey Tiller and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be on Friday January 17, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Rick Farmer. Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday January 16, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M.
