Marilyn J. Stevens age 80 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 16,2014 at Kingston Residence of Marion.
She was born August 15, 1933 in Marion, Ohio to the late Wilford J. and Margaret (Meske) Orton.
On June 22, 1952 in Marion, Ohio she married Jacob Gene Stevens.
Marilyn was a longtime member of First United Church of Christ, she was retired from the Smith Clinic after 30 years as head of insurance and supervisor of the front desk.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Gene Stevens of Marion, Oh., two sons, K. Todd Stevens of Blacksburg, Va., John S. Stevens of Virginia Beach, Va., and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and two siters, Marjorie Croman and Mignon Chambers.
Visitation for Marilyn will be Monday, January 20, 2014 from 3 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Gale Green officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central Ohio Chapter 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215 in Marilyn’s memory.
