Eleanor L. Kapcar, 86, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her residence.
Eleanor was born in Port Clinton, Ohio to the late William and Loretta (Fitz) Burns on October 17, 1923.
Eleanor attended the Mercy Hospital Nursing School Program in Toledo and became a Registered Nurse.
On October 12, 1946, Eleanor and Dr. Albert Kapcar, who preceded her in death on 9-20-2006, were married. Eleanor's death date marked what would have been her 64 wedding anniversary to Albert who was the love of her life.
Eleanor was a devoted wife, loving nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loyal caring friend. She was a former member of the St. Mary Bereavement Choir. She lived her Catholic Christian faith in everyday life through her kindnesses to those who knew her and even strangers. She always found the best in everyone.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, Dennis (Susan) Kapcar of Delphos, Bill (Amy) Kapcar of Cincinnati, and Jim (Sarah) Kapcar of Cincinnati; three daughters, Mary Beth (Dr. Ron) Gilligan, of Dillon, Colorado, Peggy (Charles) Judy of Columbus, and Barb (John) Schroepfer of Columbus; fourteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William; and sisters, Beverly and Elizabeth "Betty".
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with parish prayers at 2 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in St. Mary Church with Fr. Michael Nimocks Celebrant. The burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
