Louise E. Mattix age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at her residence.
She was born August 23, 1925 in Morrow County to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Williams) Weaver.
On June 20, 1943 she married Donald E. Mattix, he preceded her in death on April 2, 2013.
Louise was saved and baptized at Grace Baptist Church, in her earlier years she was very active in various clubs. She was a homemaker and worked very hard side by side with her husband on the family farm.
She is survived by three sons, Lawrence R. Mattix of Morral, Oh., Dennis E. (Donna) Mattix of Marion, Oh., David R. (Bertha) Mattix of New Bloomington, Oh., 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by a son, Carl E. Mattix, a grandson, Russell Mattix, her great grandson, Carson Mattix and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 1 – 3 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 @ 3 PM with Pastor Bryan Wenig officiating. Burial will take place at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial contribution may be made to The Salvation Army or Marion General Hospice or Marion Area Humane Society.
