The Marion County Park District is pursuing a grant opportunity from the State of Ohio to pave three more miles of the Tallgrass Trail in 2015. Public input is an important component to the grant process and the District is looking for your help.
The Park District held an open house to solicit public input in January, but the comment period remains open. You can visit www.marioncountyparks.info/feedback/ for a description of the trail plans and a short survey. The survey will remain open until February 12, 2014.
Comments may also be mailed to the park district at 222 West Center Street, Marion, OH 43302.
The park district expects that miles 4 through 6 will stretch from the area of Hickory Grove Lake Campground to near Agosta-Meeker Road.
