Anne W. Huggler, 87, of Marion

Anne W. HugglerAnne W. Huggler, age 87, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Centerburg Pointe in Centerburg, OH, with her family surrounding her. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus.

Anne was born on May 12, 1926 in Upper Montclair, NJ, to the late Sidney and Louise (Stevenson) Farnsworth.

On June 15, 1951 she married her late husband, Arthur R. Huggler. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2008.

After high school, she graduated with a teaching degree and taught kindergarten in New Jersey.  She moved to Marion after marriage.

Except for teaching in a pre-school a couple of years, she spent her life being a homemaker.  She was also busy in the community as a Campfire Girl Leader for several years, helping with Boy Scouts, and volunteering at the hospital.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran where she helped with Sunday School, VBS, and visited and brought meals to the sick.  She also helped Art as he directed the Art Market Marion at the church.  She would make and send cards to church members.  Anne would also babysit the children of many of the members.  She was also a member of Eastern Star and the Lutheran Women’s group.  Most of all, Anne loved helping her family and traveling with her husband, Art.  They were blessed to take many trips together and with their best friends John and Rose Wilk.

Anne is survived by daughter, Linda A. (Tim) Halt of Mt. Vernon; son, Carl R. Huggler of Marengo; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Long, Kelly (Mike) Charles, Amy (Josh) Chaffin, Dale (Merci) Huggler, and Cheryl Huggler; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Sidney (Laura) Farnsworth of Needham, MA., sister, Emily (William) Frick of Riverside, Conn., and five nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eloise Farnsworth and niece Eloise (Frink) Chevron.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Primrose of Marion, Centerburg Pointe, and Acclaim Hospice for the kind loving care they gave to Anne.

Friends may call from 2 until 4PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors on Sunday, March 9, 2014.  Services will be celebrated at 11AM, Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 930 Harding Memorial Parkway, with Pastor Craig Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
