Janet Ann Creager, age 71, of Marion, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at home.
Janet was born on June 29, 1942 in Lorain, OH to the late William and Anna (Fleming) Hess.
Janet married Richard Creager on August 27, 1987; he preceded her in death in 2010.
She formerly worked for Kroger in the bakery and at the Marion YMCA.
Janet was an avid quilter; she would often help with Epworth’s pray quilts. In addition to quilting, Janet enjoyed sewing and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of the Silver Sneaker Club at the YMCA, TOPS, and belonged to the Richland Road Church of Christ.
Janet is survived by daughter, Starling (Ronald) Cole of Marion; grandchildren, Brandon Miller and Leslie (Brian) Carp, and great-grandchildren, Chloe and Caden Miller and Garrison Carp. She was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Heller in 1986; brothers, William, James, and Owen Hess; and sister, Starling Hess.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 5PM on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held 11AM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at The Richland Road Church of Christ with Minister Russell Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
