The City of Marion Administration is announcing a change to its free yard waste drop off program.
Effective Monday, May 3, 2010, grass and yard waste will only be accepted at Park Enterprise Construction Co.’s facility, which is located at 560 Barks Road West. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Grass and yard waste will no longer be accepted at the city garage facility after April 30, 2010.
This change does not affect the city’s curbside pick up for yard waste, in which yard waste, with the exception of grass clippings, that is placed in trash cans, small boxes or clearly marked biodegradable paper bags is collected at curbside on the day after each resident’s regular trash collection day.
