Dorothy L. Roseberry, age 93, of Marion passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 7:00 a.m. in the Kingston of Marion.
She was born on September 7, 1920 in Buena Vista County, Iowa to John and Sarah (Gavin) Cullen.
On March 19, 1946 in Spencer, Iowa Dorothy married Joe C. Roseberry and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1993 in Marion, Ohio.
She was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church. Dorothy served as a Lieutenant Nurse in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. She was a member of Am. Legion Post 584 and the V.F.W.
Dorothy began her civil employment as a nurse for 4 years with the Marion Power Shovel Co. and went on to be a Registered Nurse at the Marion General Hospital for over 30 years before her retirement.
She is survived by a son; Mark (Sara) Roseberry of Englewood, Oh., a daughter; Jean (Randy) Seaburn of Marion, Oh., 3 grandchildren; Jamie, Jillian, & Benjamin Roseberry, and 1 great grandson; Aaron Roseberry. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter; Kathy Roseberry, and a brother; Joe Cullen.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. with parish prayers at 5:00 p.m. Father Thomas Buffer will conduct the Catholic mass in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
