Robert E. Richards age 84 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday April 28, 2014 at his residence.
He was born May 27, 1929 in Marion, Ohio to the late Christopher W. and Lenora (Zupp) Richards.
On March 20, 1960 Robert married June Kindell and she preceded him in death in April of 2002. He then married Florence Cochran Harruff on August 30, 2002 and she also preceded him in death in March of 2013.
Robert was retired from his own machine shop business after fifty plus years. He was a member of the Green Camp Baptist Church, and was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Robert leaves behind three daughters and three sons; Mary Ann (Michael) Litell, Sharon (David) Noggle Clark, Kathy Lyn Richards, Robert E. Richards, Jr., Christopher J. Richards, and Jerry Lee Richards all of Marion, Ohio, as well as numerous grand and great- grandchildren survive. There is also a brother, Thomas E. (Mary) Richards of Columbus, Ohio, and a niece and a nephew surviving.
Funeral Services will be on Friday May 2, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Lippert. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 P.M.
