Marvin W. Sheets, 74, of Marion

Marvin W. Sheets, age 74, of Marion passed away early Wednesday morning at his home.

Born in Galia County, Ohio to Vance and Helen (Rose) Sheets, he married the former Alice May in 1984 and she preceded him in death in 2011.

Marvin loved to hunt and fish, especially with his son; Eric. He had been self- employed as a chimney repair person for many years.

Surviving are his 2 sons; Eric Sheets (Chrystina Payne) and Jeremiah Sheets (Bruce Jones), his step-son; Stephen Knight and his 3 grandchildren; Kymberly, Kyler and Jacob, all of Marion and his sister; Wanda (Richard) Conners of Waldo.

Friends may call at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 PM until the time of services at 4:00 PM. He will be buried with his wife in the Grand Prairie Cemetery at a later date.
