Dr. Marvin V. Clark age 90 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday October 31, 2010 at his residence.
He was born October 10, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Scot and Edith N. (Keller) Clark.
On March 16, 1942 in Richmond, Ind. he married Marguerite Cleo Hindes. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2009 in Marion, Ohio.
In the early part of his life he worked for Rockwell International for thirteen years, but he spent fifty five years as a minister. Dr. Clark served several churches in that time span and touched many lives. Those churches were Whetstone Baptist in Bucyrus, Oh., Johnstown Independent Baptist in Johnstown, Oh. and Oak Knoll Baptist in Marion, Oh.
Survivers to Dr. Clark include three daughters; Marva Lee (Don) Roush of Sanford, N. Carolina, Judy (Bill) McCreary of Marion, Ohio and Sharon (Dave) Pitson of Lima, Ohio; five grandchildren; Matt Roush, Nikki (Jamie) Smith, Scott McCreary, Eric Gould and Justin Gould. Also two great-grandchildren survive.
A brother, Guy E. Clark also preceded him death.
There will be a Graveside Service on Thursday November 4, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. at the Whetstone Cemetery in Bucyrus, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Alan Miller. Burial will follow the service. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born funeral Home one hour prior from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. A Celebration Of Life Service will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday November 14, 2010 at the Oak Knoll Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio.
