The Fahey Banking Company has announced the April Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month winners for 2014 are Olivia Davis of Marion Harding and CJ Flach of Elgin.
This is Olivia Davis’s second time winning the Athlete of the Month award, but she has now won in two different sports. Olivia is a member of the Harding track team who placed in seven different events during the month of April. Olivia broke Harding’s high jump record with a leap of 5’4” at the New Albany dual track meet where she won the event. First places were also captured in the long jump, 800 m relay, 1600 m relay, and the 800 m run.
Honorable Mentions were Georgie Stacy of Pleasant, Brianna Caldwell of Elgin, Hannah Ferguson of Ridgedale, and Emily Griffith of River Valley.
CJ Flach has again won the Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month award for a great baseball season. CJ is having a fabulous season as a pitcher striking out 64% of batters that he faces and with an ERA of 0.75 during the month of April. CJ is also hitting well with a .466 batting average and an on base percentage of .504.
Honorable Mentions were Ethan Douglas of River Valley, Janik Tackett of Pleasant, Tieran Mason of Marion Harding, , and Monroe Britton of Ridgedale.
