Suspected Drug Trafficker Arrested Again by MARMET

MARMETMARMET Drug Task Force officials say a several week long investigation resulted in the Friday arrest of a man for suspected drug trafficking. MARMET said the man had been arrested for the same offense last year.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, detectives from MARMET, with the assistance of Marion County Adult Probation Department, arrested 26-year-old Angelo Boykins. Boykins was arrested on a warrant for Trafficking in Heroin and was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center to await formal charges.

Lt. Chris Adkins of MARMET said that at the time of his arrest Friday, Boykins was on probation from a 2013 case in which he had plead guilty.

“Repeat drug trafficking offenders continue to be a problem in Marion County,” said Lt. Adkins. “We will continue to pursue and arrest those that sell drugs in Marion.”
