Jane Morris, age 92, of Marion passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 3:11 a.m. at her residence.
She was born on December 16, 1921 in Raven, Kentucky to Tony and Corsbie (Gibson) Slone.
Jane married Leonard M. Morris in Lackey, Kentucky on September 3, 1938 and he preceded her in death in Marion, Ohio on May 29, 1991.
She was a member of the Ridgetop Shawnee Indian Tribe.
Jane was a lifelong homemaker and is survived by 2 sons; Roger (JoAnn) Morris of Gradyville, Ky. and Shannon Morris of Marion, Oh., 2 sisters; Nancy Morris & Amy Vijande both of Marion, Oh., 3 grandsons; Tony, Mark, & David Morris, 1 granddaughter; 7 great grandchildren including; Josh Sines, Caden Morris, Michael & Corlei Morris, 3 step grandsons; Nathan Parks, Derrick Parks, & Cameron Thrasher, and 1 step granddaughter; Corlei Morris. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted be Rev. Bill Middleton in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
