On Tuesday, July 22, 2014 Jacqueline Smith, age 54, went home to be with her mom, Shirley Stout, in Heaven after several years of being ill. She passed away peacefully at O.S.U. with family by her side.
She was born on November 2, 1959, to the late Kenneth R. Sr. and Shirley A. Massey, in Marion, Ohio. Jackie lived most of her life in Marion and later lived in the Galion and Bucyrus areas.
She is survived by three (3) children: Megan (Chad) Gossard of Kenton; Gilbert Smith III of Marion; and Denaya (Chris Leppert) Smith of Bucyrus. She is also survived by grandchildren: Hazlie, Bryce and Halie.
She is also survived by her step-father: Charles L. Stout, whom she always thought of and called Dad. Also, five (5) siblings: Patricia A. (James) Douce of Marion, Kenneth R. Massey, Jr. of Columbus, Thomas L. (Linda) Massey of Marion, Debra K. (Gary) Pratt of St. Cloud, FL, Douglas A. (Sue Cooper) Massey of Cleveland; and, step-brother, Charles L. (Kristen) Stout II of Sacremento, CA. She also was blessed with many cousins, nieces and nephews, too many to mention. She loved her family very much; and, also always loved every living plant and animal on Earth.
According to her wishes, Jackie has been cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Aumiller Park, Shelter #11, in Bucyrus, OH, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
