Carol Darlene Davis age 75 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at Genesis Presidential Center.
She was born August 1, 1939 in Marion, Ohio to the late J. Pete and Madeline (St.Jermain) Manley.
On February 6, 1960 she married Kenneth N. Davis, he preceded her in death on February 24, 2009.
Carol was a 1959 graduate of St.Mary’s Catholic High School, a member of First United Church of Christ. She was employed at Marion Red Cab as a dispatcher, night supervisor at Marca and delivery at the Marion Star.
She is survived by her step-mother, Betty Wade of Marion, Oh., her son, Kenneth N. (Mary) Davis Jr. of Marion, Oh., her daughter, Tammie C. (Randall) Jorgenson of Marion, Oh., 7 grandchildren, Kenneth Davis III, Tiffany Anne Blankenship, Aaron Davis, Brett Cahill, Cody Davis, Ashley McDuffie, Coleman Jorgensen, 12 great grandchildren, her brother, Terry Lee Manley of Marion, Oh., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael N. Davis, three brothers, James Leighty, Robert Leighty, J. Pete Manley Jr., two sisters, Patricia A. Rouch and Linda L. Lewis and two great granddaughters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 4 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 @ 11AM at The First United Church of Christ, 326 S. Prospect St. Marion, Ohio with Rev. John Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Agosta Cemetery.
