Ray L. Munn age 98 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Heartland of Marion, Ohio.
He was born July 18, 1916 in Hoytville, Ohio to the late Fred and Stella (Smith) Munn.
Ray was married to Twila E. Stucky in Napoleon, Ohio on October 27, 1940 and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2012.
Ray was retired as the Owner and Operator of Munn and Son Barber Shop in Marion and he cut hair for 51 years.
He was also a member of the First Church of The Nazarene, a member of the Barbers Union Local # 554 of which he was Past President for 20 years, he served on the City of Marion Zoning Appeals Board, and was a W.W.II U.S. Army Veteran.
Ray leaves behind a son, Lowell (Judy) Munn of Marion, Ohio, two grandchildren; Troy (Kelli) Munn of Jacksonville, Fla., Cami (Warren) Peters of Huntsville, Ala., and three great grandchildren; Taylor, Joya, and Gena. A sister, Dorothy Lafferty of Pittsburg, Pa., and a brother, Howard Munn of Bowling Green, Ohio also survive.
Besides his parents and his wife, Ray was preceded in death by two sisters; Mona and IsaBelle and four brothers; LeRoy, Melvin, Cecil, and Robert.
Funeral Services will be on Friday August 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Steve deWeber. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on friday one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M.
