Twila Ferne (Byrd) Dominy, age 76 of Prospect, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2014 with her children at her side.
Twila was born May 4, 1938 in Marion Ohio to the late Roy Byrd and C. Ferne Byrd Morrison.
On June 22, 1957 she married Larry Dominy who preceded her in death 0n December 31, 2006.
Twila’s greatest joy in life was to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed helping her husband Lawrence manage Dominy’s Pizza Shops in Marion, Prospect, and Richwood.
Twila is survived by three sons, David (Eva) Dominy of Radnor. Lee Dominy of Marion and John Dominy of Prospect, one daughter Michelle Corwin of Marion, and one brother William (Bill) Byrd of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Craig Baker, Christopher Baker, Chris Dominy, Jon Dominy, Broc Dominy, David Dominy Jr., Tyler Dominy, Adam Dominy, Shelby Dominy, Austin Dominy, Carter Dominy, Ashley Corwin, and Mikey Corwin, and four great grandchildren, Gabriel Baker, Nathan, Nathan Baker, Emily Baker and Emaline Dominy, and several nieces and nephews and Twila’s special angels, Pat Stone and Pat Dean.
Twila was preceded in death by her parents, one son (Roger) and her brother James Byrd.
Family will receive friends Monday, August 11, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at St. Mary Church 251 N. Main Street with Father Thomas Buffer presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
