Ares Herbert Allen Wayne Parsons, only 3 years young, lost his battle with Neuroblastoma, with which he was diagnosed 9 months old, early Thursday morning, November 18, 2010 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
He was born on July 2, 2007 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, the son of Shawn Michael Parsons of Fredericktown and Rebecca Lynn (Parker) Parsons of Galion.
“Bud” loved his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, especially Donatello; so much so he watched the movie too many times to count. And if you happened to be a zombie, watch out because he was going to shoot you! He had plenty of practice, playing Resident Evil on his Wii or at his favorite place, Chuck E. Cheese’s. And it was hard for him to hide his excitement when it came time to go fishing with Dad.
In addition to his parents he will be missed by his brother Azreal Michael Parsons, age 7 and his sisters Orchid Lynn Parsons, age 8; maternal grandmother Julie Parker of Sandusky; paternal grandparents Pauline (Charles Everett) Parson of Fredericktown and Herbert (Christy) Parsons Jr. of Sparta; paternal great grandparents Aggie (Herman) Adkins of Fredericktown and Herbert (Nancy) Parsons of Sparta; his aunts Patt Kline and Karen Anna both of Florida; and his uncles Tony Wayne (Destiny) Parsons of Marengo and Robert Allen (Jessica) Parsons of Mount Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Parker.
Friends may call on the family on Monday November 22, 2010 from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead. Funeral services will be held there on Tuesday at 11:00 AM.
A memorial fund is being set up in Ares’ name and envelopes and information will be available at the funeral home.
