Debra Dianne Correa, 53, of Marion

Debra Dianne CorreaDebra Dianne Correa, 53, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 after an extended illness.

She was born in Marion, Ohio on June 23, 1961, to the late Edwin and Maxine (Mann) Zacharias.

She was a 1979 graduate of Ridgedale High school. She developed a love for flowers and designing at the age of 15 while working at Hemmerly’s Flowers and Gifts. She continued to work at Hemmerly’s Flowers and Gifts and made it into a career. She always said “it wasn’t work if you loved your job” and she loved hers. Always maintaining a passion for her work, she became the proud owner of Hemmerly’s Flowers and Gifts in 2000.

Although her career was important, her true happiness was her family. She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Michael Correa. Her five children: Terra (Paul) Dildine, Zacharias “Zach” (Amanda) Baker, Michael Correa II, Connor (Leandra) Correa and Nicholas Correa, all of Marion, six grandchildren: Hannah, Kaleb, Cody, Ariana, Rylee, and Bentley. Also surviving siblings Terry Zacharias, London, Ohio, Jerry Zacharias, London, Ohio, Phillip Zacharias, Webster, Florida, Constance Zacharias, Brooksville, Florida, and David Zacharias, Ashland, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James Zacharias and her first husband Terry Baker.

Dianne was a loving and kind hearted person. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5 until 8PM at the Boler Activity Center, 590 Forest Lawn Drive.  A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary Church, 251 N. Main St., Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10AM with Father Thomas Buffer presiding.  Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
