Larry L. PinneyLarry L. Pinney, age 74, of Marion, passed away, Monday, October 6, 2014 surrounded by his family at the Kobacker House in Columbus, OH.

On March 3, 1940 Larry was born in Delaware, OH to the late Lavella (Willey) and Harland H. Pinney.

While attending La Rue School he worked on the family farm.

After graduation in 1956, he married Frances G. Rose on June 25, 1960; she survives.

Larry worked for The Whirlpool Corporation for 36 years.  After retiring from Whirlpool, Larry worked at Lowes for seven years.

Larry was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene where he hosted Bible Studies, volunteered for the Community Outreach Programs, and was a member of The Church Security Team. He also was a member of the NRA and enjoyed watching FOX News, gardening, taking care of his yard and collecting antique toy tractors.  Larry was an avid OSU fan, enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music and traveling with his wife to The George W. Bush Library and Museum in Texas and to Alaska.  Larry always made time for his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Frances; son, David (Pam) Pinney of Prospect; daughter, Jill (Lee) Gracely of New Bloomington; grandchildren, Erica (Nate) Whitt, Wes and Kelsey Pinney, Matthew (Kelsey) Tyree, Jesse (Rachel) Tyree, and Paul and Teylor Gracely; and great-grandchildren, Colton, Grace, and Emma Whitt, Sage Tryee, and Sydney Tyree.   He was predeceased by one sister, Linda Bailey.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. at The First Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, October 9, 2014 where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 Pastor Don Diehl officiating.  Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at the First Church of the Nazarene, this fund was the first item Larry checked every Sunday in the church bulletin.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.gunderhallandfolk.com.
