The River Valley FFA recently held a successful 2nd Annual Ride For Wishes Bike-a-Thon. The purpose of the bike-a-thon was to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation of Central Ohio. The Foundation grants wishes to children with serious medical conditions and was very beneficial to at least one former River Valley FFA member.
The bike-a-thon was a choice of eight or fourteen miles near River Valley High School. Students and members of the community came to support the cause as well as to have some fun. With everyone’s help, the River Valley FFA raised over $1,300.
The group would like to thank their sponsors, which included Coldwell Banker Realty Plus, Fahey Bank, Kohl’s, Maurice’s, Morral Companies, Rivers Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing, Signs, and Alterations, Herb’s Body Shop, JD Equipment, Arby’s, Lee Garden, Groovy Spoon, and Boyd Funeral Home.
Kohl’s was recognized as the top company in donations and Brock Faulkner was the top participant in donations.
