Mavis Geraldine Walsh, age 89, of Marion passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 5:30 a.m. in her home.
She was born on March 10, 1925 in Buffalo, W.VA. to James Harley and Delpha Lee (Daugherty) Jividen.
Mavis married William Earl Walsh in Catlettsbugh, Ky. on August 26, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2012 in Delaware, OH.
The lifelong homemaker is survived by a son; William Edward (Linda) Walsh of Marion, OH., a daughter; Marsha Lynn (Keever) Grate of Marion, OH., 3 grandchildren; Kelley Grate of Marion, IN., Jason (Holly) Grate of Leesburg, VA., & Andrea (Jon) Gorenflo of Lewis Center, OH., and 5 great grandchildren.
Mavis was preceded in death by 2 brothers; James H. & Hansford Jividen and a sister; Wilma Lee Lacy.
Pastor David Holdren will conduct the funeral service on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
