Martin Elmer Hamm, age 59, of Marion passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 1:34 a.m.in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born on September 11, 1955 in Marion, Ohio to the late Loren Everett and Goldie Mae (Blevins) Hamm.
Martin is survived by his first wife; Ada Hamm Richardson (mother of his two children), his second wife: Sonya L. Keifer Hamm whom he married on June 5, 1997 in Galion, Ohio, a son; Martin E. Hamm Jr. of Marion, a daughter; Nicole Hamm of Marion, 4 brothers; Charles (Tessie) Hamm of Marion, Ernest (Rose) Hamm of Marion, Larry (Janet) Hamm of Marion, & Preston (Jean) Hamm of Lancaster, Oh., 4 sisters; Janice (Rick) Cox of Galion, Oh., Linda Hamm Blevins of Marion, Ethel Hamm (Steve) Wormell of Columbus, Oh., & Brenda Hamm Sommers of Nevada, Az., 7 grandchildren; Jennifer Jefferey, Brittany Jefferey, Christopher (Samantha Fox) Hamm, Breanna Hamm, Hunter Hamm, Makayla Hamm, & Adalyn Pennington, 5 great grandchildren; Austin, Kaleb, & Kimberly Kraviec, Jordan & Braxton Williams, along with numerous nieces & nephews.
Martin was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 26, 2014, from 2-6 p.m. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A private family graveside service in the Marion Cemetery is planned for a later date.
