Harold “Eugene” Sayre, age 40, of Marion, died Tuesday morning, October 21, 2014, following a seven year battle with cancer.
On March 10, 1974, Eugene was born in Marion, Ohio, the son of Joe W. Sayre and Pam (Coykendall) Gaines.
For many years he owned and operated his own business, Harold’s Home Renovations. He also loved camping, riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Christie Sayre; four children: Jeffrey (Lauren) Jones, KayDee Jones, all of Marion, Ashley Sayre of Findlay and Heaven Jones of Marion; his mother, Pam (Ed) Gaines; his father, Joe (Glenda Shockey) Sayre, both of Marion; his grandparents: Donna and Roger Postell; two brothers: Marshall Sayre of Marion, and Justin Sayre of Florida; a sister, Kimberly (Jeff) Young of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His family will greet friends from 2 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services will be held privately by his family.
Rather than flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
