Orpha A. Robinson-Johnston, 77 Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 29, 2014. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends who loved her dearly.
Born in Salyersville, Ky. on April 18, 1937 to the late Marie Perkins and Leonard Pickleseimer, she was one of eleven children.
On July 9, 1955 she married Elisha J. Robinson, he preceded her in death on June 23, 1995. On September 2, 1997 she married Robert Johnston.
Orpha was a member of Fairpark Baptist Church for many years, she retired from Whirlpool Corporation, she loved cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Johnston of Marion, daughter, Judy (Earl) Hall of Marion, grandchildren, Brad (Kelley) Hall of Galena, Brandi (Tim) Gray of Marion, Heather (Jeff) Deeter of Marion, ten great grandchildren, three brothers, Melvin Poe of Marion, Cecil Poe of Marion, Ralph Poe of Ashville, AL., two sisters, Lydia Peck of Richwood, Dorothy Martyr of Dayton, step-children, Rita Rizzo of Akron, Kevin (Jennifer) Johnston of Marion, David (Laura) Johnston of Marion, three step-grandchildren, step-sister, Mildred Huffman of Marion.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and a great granddaughter.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 4 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 @ 10AM at Fairpark Baptist Church with Pastor David Rush officiating, Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Joyce’s Angels in care of the funeral home.
