Clarence E. “Geno” Thompson, age 57, of Marion passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 12:00 a.m. in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on October 20, 1957 to Clarence W. Thompson and Dexie (Lewis) Thompson Mayse. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Marion.
Geno was employed for 20 years as a district manager for Englefield Oil Co. before retiring in 2007.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by his mother; Dexie Mayse, a brother; Timothy (Vicki) Thompson of Marion, and 2 sisters; Charlene (Dennis) Thompson & Alice Sparling both of Marion. He was preceded in death by his father; Clarence Thompson and a brother; Michael L. Thompson.
A memorial service will be held in the First Freewill Baptist Church at 1449 Crissinger Road on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 6:30 P.M. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 4:00 P.M. until service time. Pastor Jerry Copley will be officiating and burial will be at a later date.
