Michael D. Dietsch, 60, of Marion

Michael D. Dietsch, age 60, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at his residence.

He was born in Marion February 19, 1950 to the late William and Bernice (Klingel) Dietsch.

On April 21, 1979 Michael married Shirley (Plantz) Dietsch and she survives.

He retired as an Inspector from the Marion County Engineers Office. Michael continued to work part time at the new Mathews Ford, Marion Flower Shop, and also owned his own lawn mowing company. Michael formerly worked at ODOT.

Michael was a member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, Morrow County Antique Tractor Association, Mid-Ohio Antique Tractor Association, and Ridgedale Lions Club. Michael loved his church and church activities, Ford cars and trucks, Nascar and Carl Edwards, and The Purdue Boilermakers. He was an avid collector of toy tractors.

Survivors include his wife Shirley, one son Joshua D. Dietsch, a number of cousins, nieces and nephews, and his cat Rascal. Family will recieve friends from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene 233 West Center Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Riley Powell  and Pastor Wil Beers officiating. Burial will follow in Waldo Cemetery.
