Dustin Dale “Dusty” Creasap, 27, of Mount Gilead

Dustin Dale “Dusty” CreasapDustin Dale “Dusty” Creasap, age 27, of Mount Gilead, died unexpectedly Friday evening, November 28, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

On August 9, 1987, Dusty was born in Marion, the son of Dale Alan Creasap and the late Tammy Jo (VanHorn) Creasap. He graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 2005. In high school, Dusty was active with 4-H, FFA and played baseball.

Dusty was an extremely hard worker, growing up and working on a farm his entire life. For the past year he worked for Dandy D Farms LLC in Mount Sterling, in many aspects of their operations.

When he wasn’t farming, Dusty was usually out hunting, fishing, or working on diesel trucks.

He had a huge heart and loved spending time with his family. He was an outgoing and generous young man, a friend to everyone.

Dusty will be dearly missed by his children: Bryce Allan, Shelby Lynn, Riley Jo and Hannah Rose Creasap; his dad, Dale (Lynn) Creasap of Marengo; his significant other, Felicia Childre of Williamsport, OH; his brother: Ryan (Lindsay) Creasap and their daughter, Makayla, of Mount Gilead; grandparents: Sherri VanHorn of Mount Gilead and Duane Creasap of Lima; aunts and uncles: Beth and Scott Martin of Edison, Renee and Jeff Clem of Lexington, Ray and Anitra VanHorn of Mount Gilead and Heidi VanHorn of Mount Gilead.

In addition to his mom, he was preceded in death by grandfather, Gene VanHorn ; grandmother, Sandra Creasap, and a cousin, Bobby VanHorn.

The Creasap family will greet friends from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Services celebrating his life will be held there on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeannie Winters officiating. Burial will follow in Bryn Zion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dusty’s family to assist with funeral expenses, and may be made in care of the funeral home.
