Joe W. Earhart, age 87, of Marion passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 3:20 a.m. in the Barberton Manor Care Facility, Barberton, Ohio.
He was born in Green Camp, Ohio on September 10, 1927 to the late Charles E. and Zella Q. (Bowling) Earhart.
Joe married the former Virginia Bayes in Marion, OH. on October 16, 1945 and she preceded him in death on August 20, 2011 in Marion.
He was a member of the Berean Baptisat Church and was employed as a master machinist for 35 years with the Marion Power Shovel Company retiring in 1987.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Dixie Diana “Dee” (Michael) Croghan of Akron, Oh. & Debra Kay “Debi” (Lawrence) Clark of Colorado Springs, Co., 1 brother; Phillip (Donna) Earhart of Sun City, Fl., 2 sister-in-laws; Shirley Hushour & Trudy Togrul both of Tiffin, Oh., 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Virginia, 1 son; Ronald Joe Earhart, 1 daughter; Terry Elaine Earhart, and 1 grandchild.
Friends may call at the Berean Baptist Church on Friday, December 19, 2014, from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Charles Reed will conducting the funeral service and burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, Ohio.
