Bernice L. Honaker age 94 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Kingston of Marion.
She was born November 8, 1920 in Henderson, W. Va., to the late Sterlie and Goldie E. (Lambert) Windon.
On April 12, 1937 in Point Pleasant, W. Va., she married William F. Honaker and he preceded her in death in February of 1993.
Bernice graduated from Point Pleasant High School and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Marion. She was also a member of the Womens Auxilliary of Alloy Cast Steel Company. She belonged to the weekenders camping club and the family expressed that she was an excellent cook. Along with her husband, they at one time over the years owned a couple of restaurants in the Marion area.
Bernice leaves behind a daughter and a son; Patricia Temple of Franklin, Tn., and William L. (Linda) Honaker of New Albany, Ohio, as well as eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren survive. Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Sisson, a granddaughter, a great grandson, and a brother, Lawrence Grady.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Rick Farmer and Dr. Steve Roper. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery.
