William L. “Bill” Mount age 80 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1934 in Jacksonville, Ohio to the late Floyd and Blanche (Vandergriff) Mount.
On March 15, 1974 he married Barbara E. (Hicks) Mount, she preceded him in death on March 12, 2013.
Bill formerly owned and operated Mount’s Sohio in Richwood, and retired from Whirlpool Corporation after many years as a truck driver. He enjoyed his classic cars and trucks, he was a member of various car clubs.
He is survived by his three children, Rick (Faith) Mount of Mt.Victory, Oh., Marla (Gregg) Dripps of Marion, Oh., Marcia Huffine of Marion, Oh., step-children, Mike (Sharon) Christian of Edison, Oh., Sharon (Ken) Martin of Angleton, Tx., Carol (Rick) Flowers of Heath, Oh., Lisa (Larry) Davis of Powell, Oh., numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son- Greg Mount, two brothers- Robert and Vernon, and three sisters- Kay, Lylis and Martha.
Visitation for Bill will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 from 4 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 @ 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor James Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Hospital in care of the funeral home.
