Franklin H. “Frank” Cole Sr. age 74 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born February 8, 1940 in Marion, Ohio to the late Grover U. and Margaret S. (Jacobs) Cole.
On February 17, 1967 he married Linda M. (Morgan).
Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran, he was owner/operator of Frank’s Cab Company for 26 years, he drove bus for Marion City Schools for 20 plus years, previously drove for Red Cab, envolved in Civil Defence and enjoyed bowling in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Cole of Marion, their five children, Frank (Edith) Cole of Marion, Candy (Paul) McKenzie of Marion, Sam (Jackie Armbruster) Cole of Marion, Andy (Fiance – Michal Shirley) Cole of Marion, Franklin (Annette Wren) Cole Jr. of Marion, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, his brother, Harry Thomas Cole of Marion, his sister, Isabelle Laugherty of Columbus, special niece, Margie Preston of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Johnny Cole and his sister, Ruth Ann Preston.
Visitation for Frank will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 4 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, 2015 @ 10:30 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
