Sandra K. “Nanny” Moore age 65 of Marion, Ohio passed away January 12, 2015 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born September 23, 1949 in Prestonsburg, Ky. to Cledis and Lizzie (Prater) Whitaker.
On September 1, 1990 she married Terry L. Moore.
Sandra was a member and a deacon at Manna Ministries House of Prayers in Marion. She formerly employed at Maplewood (Marion Pointe) Nursing Home, but her true love was Nanny’s Day Care where she touched hundreds of children’s lives for the past 28 years. She will be loved and greatly missed by family and friends. She will always be remembered as the “Brownie Maker” for the amazing brownies she shared with everyone.
Sandra is survived by her mother, Lizzie Whitaker of Marion, OH.; her husband, Terry L. Moore of Marion, OH.; her son, Steven Caudill of Marion, OH.; stepson, Terry L. “Ace” Moore of Marion, OH.; three grandchildren, Ayllah Burton, Leanndra Moore and Shane Moore; her siblings, Cledis (Jackie) Whitaker of Marion, OH., Clarence (Debbie) Whitaker of Morral, OH., David Whitaker of Marion, OH., Kathy (Joe) Benson of Marion, OH., Karen (Tim) Coldwell of Delaware, OH., Marlene (Jim) Oberdier of Marion, OH., Judy Law of Marion, OH., Roger (Lisa) Whitaker of South Carolina, her special daughter, Romi Melicharkova of Czech Republic and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Cledis Whitaker and her brother, Billy Ray Whitaker.
Visitation for Sandra will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Naomi Beckel and Bishop Tom Beckel officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
