Thad L. Postell age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Kingston Residence of Marion. He was born July 18, 1926 in Marion, Ohio to the late Frank and Hazel (DeMunn) Postell.
On December 4, 1950 he married Marie E. (Dodrill) Postell, she preceded him in death on April 10, 1989.
Thad was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1944 to 1946. A lifetime resident of Marion where he was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church, he was employed at Frank Postell and Sons Builders for many years.
Thad is survived by his sister, Norma (Bob) Ulery of Marion, his two brothers, Warren (Imogene) Postell of Marion and Phil (Patsy) Postell of Galion, his sister in law, Sylvia Clarkson of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard, Junior Dale and his sister, Shirley Hill.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston and the Hospice Nurses.
Visitation for Thad will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 from 1 – 3 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald Douglas officiating with burial at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
